G2 Esports has inked a new partnership with Adidas, making the sports brand G2's latest major partner and official sports apparel provider. The deal is also set to see Adidas work with G2 on their 2021 Pro Player Jersey and kits, but will also see the pair working together to produce a series of lifestyle apparel. On top of this, the two brands will collaborate to produce a variety of unique pieces of content for fans to consume.
"Today is a landmark day in G2 history," said Carlos 'ocelote' Rodriguez, CEO of G2 Esports. "To announce a partnership with a global sports brand like Adidas is a truly special moment for all of us. To join the Adidas family as one of their partners, alongside global brands such as Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich is a real game-changer for us and the wider esports industry."
No financial details regarding the partnership have been disclosed as of yet, however, Björn Jäger, Vice President Brand Adidas Central Europe also commented on the deal, saying; "We are very proud of the new partnership with G2 Esports, one of the leading entertainment organisations in the gaming industry. With this partnership we continue being a part of the growing gaming culture and are excited to tap into G2's creativity and experience within this area."
